Two militant among three found dead in Baramulla: J&K Police

In Jammu & Kashmir, two among three bodies of youth recovered from an orchard in Pattan area, have been identified. A police spokesman this evening said the two youths were militants and identified as Ashiq Ahmed Wani and Amir Ahmed Reshi. <br/><br/>Police said Ashiq Ahmad Wani of (Lolipora) Pattan was an active militant of Hizbul Mujahideen since joining the outfit in June, 2104. Of late, he had aligned himself with the breakaway group Lashkar I Islam led by Qayoom Najar. <br/><br/>Amir Ahmad Reshi of (Hardshiva) Sopore had gone missing from July 15, this year same was reported in Police Station Bomai on July 17. Police spokesman said reportedly he had also joined militant ranks. The identity of the third youth is being ascertained.<br/><br/>Three bodies with torture marks and bullet injuries, were recovered today in village Shutz Dangerpora on Nihalpora-Wailoo road in north Kashmir's Pattan area in Baramulla district.<br/><br/>Reports quoting locals alleged that the bodies had clear torture marks with nails removed and cigarette butt burns on arms and limbs. <br/><br/>They alleged that it seemed they have been tortured for many days before they have been shot and killed. Normal life came to a grinding halt in Palhallan, Pattan and Baramulla towns after news of three bullet-riddled bodies were found.<br/><br/>Separatist Hurriyat Geelani, Opposition Congress State Chief G A Mir and ruling PDP General Secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir have expressed sorrow and anguish over the deaths of three youths in mysterious circumstances.<br/><br/>They have demanded fair investigation and follow up action in unraveling the truth about the circumstances that led to killings of three youth. There is no word from other separatists on the issue till now.
