Two medical colleges to be set up in J & K: Azad

The Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad has said that the Ayurvedic system is spreading across the world particularly the western countries like UK and USA vigorously. He said, his Ministry has taken a number of initiatives to nurture and develop various aspects of Indian system of medicine particularly the Ayurveda. He was speaking after inaugurating the newly constructed building of Ayurvedic Regional Research Institute at Bantalab in Jammu on Wednesday. He said, the ministry has started the Ayush Department for the promotion of Yoga, Unani System, Homeopathy, Sidha, and Naturopathy. Mr. Azad also announced the setting up of Unani Medicine College in Kashmir valley and Ayurvedic College in Jammu. He also announced launching of the national level Ayurvedic Mother-Child Healthcare Service Scheme from Jammu.<br/>
