The Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) has fixed two matches of Ranji Trophy to be played in Patiala from 22nd October. The first match between the host Punjab and Madhya Pradesh is scheduled from October 22 to 25 and the second between Punjab versus Andhra Pradesh from October 30 to November 2. International cricket players like Yuvraj Singh playing for Punjab and Naman Ojha and Manish Pandey for Madhya Pradesh are expected to be the main attraction during the matches. Players from Patiala in the Punjab Team are Sarabjit Ladda, Himanshu Chawla, Rajwinder Singh Golu and Jiwanjot Singh. Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) official Rajesh Sood informed that the BCCI has issued strict guidelines for the matches and requested the district administration to arrange tight security arrangements for the players.
