External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar today said that two lakh 25 thousand 620 people renounced their Indian citizenship in 2022. Dr Jaishankar gave this information in a written reply in Rajya Sabha. He said over 85 thousand Indian citizens relinquished their citizenship in 2020. Over one lakh 63 thousand people relinquished their citizenship in 2021.
