In Pakistan, at least two women were killed and seven others injured in twin blasts that took place on Wednesday afternoon in northwest city of Peshawar. According to a local TV, the two blasts occurred almost simultaneously near the outskirts of Peshawar. The first blast was caused by a bomb planted to a motorcycle parked by the road side, injuring two passers-by, which in turn led to another explosion of a CNG-powered school van which happened to be passing by the blast site, leaving two women killed and five others injured on the bus. The police have cordoned off the blast site and a search operation is underway. No group has claimed responsibility for the blasts so far.
