Two influential US Senators have said, the Uri attack emanated from Pakistan and the perpetrators of this attack were Pakistanis. In a letter to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, Senators, Democrat John Cornyn and Republican Mark Warner said initial indications reveals that the perpetrators of this attack were Pakistani and that the attack emanated from Pakistan. <br/><br/>They said Pakistan's possible involvement in this attack underscores the broader concern about Pakistan's use of terrorism as a pillar of its foreign policies towards India. The Senators asked Pakistan Government to cooperate fully and transparently in the investigation and prosecute any individuals within its territory that participated in this horrendous attack. They said terrorist groups such as the Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammad, Haqqani network, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, continue to operate freely in Pakistan and launching attacks not only on India but also on US personnel and interests in Afghanistan.
