Y Sanathoi Devi and Pooja Kadian have assured India of at least two silver medals in the 13th World Wushu Championships by entering the finals of their respective weight categories in the competition being held at Jakarta. However, 2013 bronze medallist Rajani Deori lost to world champion Ali Abdul Khalikov of Russia in the pre-quarterfinals. Asian Games bronze-medallist Sanathoi defeated South Korea's Hyebin Kim in straight rounds in below 52 kg semifinals, Pooja beat Sherouk Mansour of Egypt in straight rounds in 75 kg weight category. The two Indians face Chinese opponents in the finals tomorrow. Sanathoi will take on world champion Lunn Zhang and Pooja will fight against Yuan Li. Both of Indians have won silver medals in the last editions — in 2011 in Turkey and in 2013 in Malaysia. Four Indians will take field on the final day of competitions tomorrow. Besides Sanathoi and Pooja, two others — Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh and Uchit Sharma — will feature in semifinals.
