Indian Olympic Association, IOA General Secretary Rajiv Mehta and Wrestling Referee Virender Malik were arrested on two different charges by the police in Glasgow yesterday. Reports say Virender Malik has been arrested for alleged sexual assault while Rajiv Mehta has been arrested for alleged drunken driving. While one of them was reportedly arrested in the Glasgow city centre, the other official was held in the west of the city, which is the host of the 20th Commonwealth Games. The two officials will remain in police custody over the weekend, and will be produced before a Glasgow magistrate on Monday.
