Two Hizbul militants surrendered at Doda before DG police

In Jammu and Kashmir, two militants of Hizbul Mujahiden outfit today laid down their arms and ammunition before the Director General of Police Kuldep Khoda at Doda. <br/><br/>Both the militants were active in the area since 1998. Mr. Khoda who reviewed the security situation of Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban districts of Jammu division said that militancy would be wiped out from all areas and lasting peace established in the State.<br/><br/>The surrendered militants who have been identified as Abdul Latif and Sher Mohammad alias Saifullah, said that they were fed up with the militancy and wanted to return to the mainstream to lead a peaceful life. <br/><br/>The duo laid one AK 47 rifle and other arms and ammunition, two Motorola wireless sets, 10 kgs. of RDX, One Chinese grenade and 50 detonators.<br/>
