Two Hizbul militants killed in gunbattle with Security Forces in J & K

In Jammu and Kashmir, two militants of Hizbul Mujahideen were killed in a fierce encounter with Police and Security Forces in Gandoh area of Doda district of Jammu region today. The killing of the two militants is considered yet another major success for Police and security forces in the hilly Doda district and a major blow to Hizbul Mujahideen outfit.<br/> <br/><br/>Senior Superintendent of Police, Doda Prabhat Singh told All India Radio, Jammu Newsroom that the search operations to nab the militants was launched late yesterday following specific information about their presence in Munec forest area of Doda district. While one militant was killed during the exchange of fire yesterday, another militant was killed in the early morning today. <br/><br/>The slain militants were identified as Tanveer Ahmed and Ujjawar and were involved in a series of militancy related incidents including killings of some innocent persons in the district. They were active in the militancy since 2008 and were close associates of Divisional Commander of Hizbul Mujahideen outfit for Doda Shah Din. One AK 47 rifle, One pistol and some arms and ammunition were recovered from the site of encounter. Police or security forces did not suffer any casualty in the gun battle.<br/>
