In Kerala, two persons have been taken into custody at the Cochin International Airport, after Indian and foreign currencies amounting to about ten lakh rupees were seized from them this morning. The passengers, both hailing from Kochi, had reached the airport to catch a flight to Colombo. They were carrying the currencies concealed in their baggage. The airport security officials were keeping a constant vigil following intelligence reports about counterfeit Indian rupee finding their way to the country from Colombo.
