Two Groups of Secretaries presented their ideas and suggestions on Innovative Budgeting and Effective Implementation, Swachh Bharat and Ganga Rejuvenation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi Friday evening. The suggestions are part of a follow-up to Prime Minister's exhortation to Secretaries to come up with ideas for transformative change in various areas of governance.<br/><br/>Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj, Nitin Gadkari and Manohar Parrikar, besides all Secretaries to the Central Government were present. During and after the presentation, Prime Minister and Union Ministers asked questions related to the theme of the presentation and gave their suggestions.<br/><br/>Earlier on 12th January, the first group on Energy Conservation and Efficiency had made its presentation before the Prime Minister.<br/><br/>The Prime Minister had recently set up eight groups for focused attention to various sectors. The subjects on which the groups have been set up are good governance, employment generation strategies, farmer-centric initiatives in agriculture and allied sectors, education and health, innovative budgeting and effective implementation, accelerated growth with inclusion and equity, Swachch Bharat and Ganga rejuvenation' and energy efficiency and conservation.<br/><br/>
