In Algeria, Islamist militants have attacked and occupied a natural gas complex in the east of the country seizing a number of foreign hostages. The Algerian news agency says at least two foreign nationals were killed. Algerian Interior Minister Daho Ould Kabila said security forces have surrounded the site. There has been confirmation of British, American and Japanese nationals are among those involved.
