A two-day meeting of the International Cricket Council Board meeting beginning tomorrow in Dubai. The Board will discuss recommendations from the executive committee, including the revisions in the anti-corruption code and ICC anti-doping code. Among other important issues on agenda include the Future Tours Program from 2015-2023, playing conditions for the 2015 World Cup and suspected illegal bowling actions. The ICC Board will also look into the controversial recent decision by the West Indies to cut short their tour of India following a dispute over payments to their players by Caribbean Cricket Chiefs. BCCI is seeking damages worth $42 million, which could potentially bankrupt the Caribbean team. There are indications that the ICC Board may allow all banned players to feature in domestic matches before the expiry of their suspension period. If the revised code is approved, a banned player will have to apply to the ICC to get permission to feature in domestic Cricket. The ICC will seek recommendations from its Anti-corruption and Security Unit as well as from the home board concerned and the ICC Board before clearing the player to feature in domestic matches. The ICC formed a five-member committee last year to examine the code after Pakistan Cricket Board requested a relaxation of certain conditions.
