Two-day Indian wedding expo began in Dubai<br/>

Indian weddings are known across the globe for their grandeur. The expatriate Indian community in Dubai and Gulf has been enamored of such wedding experiences and the effect is no less among the people in the Arab world. In order to tap the booming wedding market in the Gulf region, an Indian wedding expo began in Dubai. The two-day exhibition showcases wedding products, services and accessories offered to the couples getting married and their families in Dubai. Organizers of the event said the Big Fat Indian Wedding Expo would bring forward modern and useful changes, which are taking place in the wedding industry in India. According to estimates by the organizers, Indian wedding market is worth Rs1 trillion to Rs11 trillion out of which just the bridal gold and diamond jewellery is worth Rs 600 billion and wedding apparel market is Rs100 billion. Cost of wedding in metropolitan cities is between Rs2.5 million Rs 7 million while the annual worth of wedding invitation card market is Rs100 billion. The wedding industry in the Gulf region is a booming sector and among the fastest growing industries in the region. According to estimates UAE wedding industry alone stands at $700 million per annum.
