Two day India- Bangladesh dialogue focusing on security issues Inaugurated

Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dipu Moni today said that her government will make all efforts to combat terrorism originating from abroad and within the country. Inaugurating a two day India- Bangladesh dialogue focusing on security issues organised by the Bangladesh Enterprise institute in Dhaka, Ms. Dipu Moni stressed on the need for India and Bangladesh to jointly combat the destructive fundamentalist forces which threaten the region. The Foreign Minister said that the upcoming visit of Sheikh Hasina to New Delhi is a moment of opportunity for India and Bangladesh to usher in co-operation to attain regional peace, eradicate poverty and forge a digital future. The two day dialogue is being organised ahead of the Bangladesh Prime Minister’s visit to New Delhi later this month. An Indian delegation of retired and serving diplomats, security experts led by retired Diplomat M.K Rasgotra of the Observer Research Foundation will be exchanging views with their counterparts in Bangladesh to explore the security perspectives in bilateral relations between the two countries.<br/>
