The two-day Plenary of the Congress begins in Delhi tomorrow. Four resolutions on Political, Economic, and Foreign Affairs, and one on 125 years of the Congress party will be adopted at the Plenary to be held at Burari in the capital. The meeting of the Subjects Committee is finalizing today the draft resolutions that will come up before the Plenary. The theme of the Plenary is dedication and service of 125 years of Congress. The two-day session is expected to decide on its strategy for assembly elections next year in five states and lay down a road map for future. This is the third Plenary of the AICC since Mrs. Sonia Gandhi took over the reins of the Party in 1998. The last Plenary was held in Hyderabad in 2006.AIR correspondent says, the plenary session is being held at a time when the opposition has launched scathing attack on the party and is confronted with several controversies. The AICC General Secretary Janardhan Dewividi has said that the Congress is ready for every challenge and will expose the motives of the opposition.
