In Andhra Pradesh, two dalit brothers were allegedly tied to a coconut tree, stripped and thrashed for allegedly skinning a dead cow. <br/><br/>The incident occurred in Amalapuram of East Godavari district on Monday.<br/><br/>Police said, Mokati Elisa and his brother Lazar were hired by a vegetable vendor who was the owner of the cow to skin the animal that had died of electrocution while grazing. <br/><br/>The two brothers were attacked by around 100 cow vigilantes accusing them of stealing and killing the animal. The brothers are in hospital; one of them is reportedly critical.
