In West Bengal, two senior CPIM leaders were killed in an attack by armed miscreants during a procession in Burdwan district today. The Superintendent of Police Mr. S H M Mirza said that former CPIM MLA Pratip Tah and party's district committee member Kamal Gayan were died in the attack. The CPIM alleged that the ruling Trinamool Congress activists mounted the armed attacks at Dewandighi area in the town and demanded immediate arrest of the culprit. The district CPIM took out a procession in the area in support of the nation-wide industrial strike called by the central trade unions on 28th of this month.The party has called a 12 hour bandh in Burdwan district tomorrow in protest against the killings. The police arrested four persons in connection with the incident. Meanwhile, the district Trinamool Congress has claimed that they have no link with the episode.
