In Pakistan, two children were killed and nine injured today in a low-intensity bomb blast in the flood-hit southern Sindh province. The state-run PTV reported the injured in the blast that occurred in Sanghar district were hospitalised in Khapro, the main town in the area. Police said some children found the bomb, which exploded when they touched it. A police official said flood waters may have brought the bomb to the area from other parts of Sindh, where heavy rains and floods have affected nearly seven million people and inundated 23 districts. The incident caused concern among authorities and aid agencies struggling to cope with the emergency situation as hundreds of thousands of people are still living in the open. During last year's devastating floods in Pakistan, many explosive devices, including landmines, were washed by flood waters to urban areas from the militancy-hit Waziristan tribal region.
