Two bills were introduced in the Lok Sabha at the fag end of the Monsoon Session today. Law Minister Sadananda Gowda introduced the High Court and the Supreme Court Judges (Salaries and Conditions of Service) Amendment Bill 2015. The bill seeks to amend the High Court Judges Act 1954 and the Supreme Court Judges Act 1958 to remove some outdated provisions. It also provides for simplification of provisions related to determination of leave allowances of judges.<br/><br/>The other bill, the Indian Trust Amendment Bill introduced by Minister of State for Finance Jayant Sinha seeks to enable the Central government to notify a class of securities for the purposes of trust money. It also deletes reference to outdated and obsolete securities from the Indian Trust Act 1882.
