Two arrested for plotting to blow oil tanks in Mumbai

Two people were arrested in Mumbai early today by Maharashtra's Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) for allegedly plotting to blow up oil tanks of the state-run Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) located in the city. The two, identified as Latif and Riyaz, are suspected to have links with international terrorist outfits. An ATS officer said, the two were preparing to set one of the ONGC establishments in the city on fire following instructions from someone called 'Uncle'. He said, it is being ascertained whether the directions had come from across the border. The duo were produced in Quila court in the city which granted them police custody till 18th of this month.
