Turkish, Syrian ministers to establish new chapter of cooperation

Turkish and Syrian officials are to sign a visa exemption agreement today at the border. Turkish and Syrian ministers convened a meeting in the Syrian city of Aleppo for the first meeting of the Turkey-Syria High Level Strategic Cooperation Council. According to Syria’s foreign minister Walid al-Moallem, the new strategic council was the opening of a new chapter of improved relations between neighbors, Turkish and Syrian Foreign ministers discussed cooperation opportunities on several areas, including education, trade, transportation, irrigation and border crossing. <br/>
