The Turkish police today detained at least 34 Islamic State (IS) suspects in counter-terrorism operations across the Istanbul city. <br/><br/>The suspects were reportedly planning to carry out attacks and had previously fought for the militant group. <br/><br/>Xinhua news agency reports, digital material and documents linked to the group were also seized in the operations. The detainees will be deported following due procedures. <br/><br/>A total of 82 foreigners were captured in Istanbul as IS suspects on Friday. <br/><br/>On Thursday, 101 IS suspects were arrested in Turkey's capital Ankara following warrants issued for 245 people.
