A Mumbai bound Turkish Airways flight TK-720 arriving from Istanbul with 97 passengers aboard skidded off the taxiway while landing at the Chatrapati Shivaji International Aiport in Mumbai this morning. Airport Authority of India Spokesperson told AIR that all 97 passengers on board are safe and none have suffered any injuries. Following this incident all emergency procedures were immediately implemented and the main runway at the airport was closed for a brief period this morning. The incident also caused two flight diversions and delays in arrivals and departures at the airport. Mumbai bound Flight G9 0407, arriving from Sharjah was diverted to Ahmedabad early morning and it later landed back at 0733 am. Another flight SQ 7955, freighter aircraft arriving from Chicago via Brussels was diverted to Chennai at 0521 AM Friday morning.
