The Turkish government has opened a military training base, in the Somali capital, Mogadishu. Turkish chief of staff General Hulusi Akar and Somali Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire today inaugurated the newly- constructed facility.<br/>'<br/>Two hundred Turkish military officers will train ten thousand Somali soldiers at the base.<br/><br/>Somalia's army is struggling against extremist al-Shabab insurgents in the country. <br/><br/>The government is challenged to take over the country's security before the scheduled withdrawal of 22 thousand African Union forces late next year.
