Passengers on board a Turkish Airlines flight have reportedly overpowered a man who tried to hijack the plane. Turkish media says the man stood up during the flight from Oslo to Istanbul and demanded the plane return to Norway. Security sources told the CNN Turk television channel he may have tried to force his way into the cockpit, claiming to have a bomb. It is believed the 40-year-old man, who comes from a Kurdish village in south-east Anatolia, was arrested when the plane landed in Istanbul. No explosives have been found.
