Turkey's Pro-Kurdish Party pulls out of Parliament

In Turkey, a main pro-Kurdish, party has announced that it is withdrawing from Parliament after the unprecedented arrests of nine of its lawmakers, including the party's two co-leaders. <br/><br/>The party said its MPs would not resign, but not take part in sittings. Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim has said, HDP members would be betraying the public if they failed to attend Parliament. <br/><br/>Turkey drew international condemnation following the arrests of HDP co-leaders Selahattin Demirtas and Figen Yuksekdag on Friday on terrorism-related charges, along with seven other MPs. <br/><br/>Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused Europe of supporting and arming the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK). <br/><br/>The PKK has waged a three-decade insurgency for Kurdish autonomy and along with its allied groups in Syria enjoy US support in the fight against Islamic State.
