Turkey will hold a referendum on constitutional changes that include switching to a Presidential system in early April. This was announced by Prime Minister Binali Yildirim during a party heads meeting in Ankara today. <br/><br/>Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said, he would act rapidly on the constitutional bill passed by Parliament. The Bill must be approved by the President, before it can go to a referendum. The changes effectively shift Turkey from a Parliamentary system to a Presidential one by making the President the head of the executive and abolishing the Prime Minister's role.
