Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria have decided to form a regional free trade zone. The four countries signed the deal at the Turkish-Arab Economic Forum in Istanbul on Thursday. Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu invited all other interested countries to join the free trade zone and emphasized that the deal should not be seen as an alternative to the European Union.
