Tunisia elections postponed

Tunisia's interim Prime Minister Beji Caid Essebsi says the country's elections scheduled for July 24 have been postponed to October 23. According to officials, the postponement is to ensure that the vote is free and transparent.The elections are held for a constituent assembly meant to write a new constitution and lead the way for legislative and presidential elections. The vote will be the first since the January ouster of President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali.
