Tsvangirai’s trial adjourned

The trial of a senior ally of the Zimbabwean Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai has been adjourned at the High Court in Harare. Roy Bennet from Tsvangirai's Movement for Democratic Change denies charges of banditry, terrorism and sabotage which carry a possible death sentence. Prime Minister Tsvangirai has described the charges against Roy Bennet as malicious prosecutions. He was arrested in February as he returned from South Africa and was barred from taking up his post as Deputy Agriculture Minister. He has been in and out of prison ever since. His most recent arrest last month triggered MDC's policy of suspending cooperation from the Unity government.
