In Japan, a tsunami warning has been issued for the north-eastern part of the after an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 struck off the east coast of Honshu. The quake was 118 kilometres north of Fukushima and 40 kilometres offshore. Japanese TV said the tsunami is predicted to have a wave three feet high and those in the warning zone should move to high ground. The Tokyo Electric Power Company which operates Fukushima, says it is checking on the situation at the damaged plant following the latest earthquake. The quake was strong enough to shake buildings in Tokyo.
