Tsunami in Indonesia kills 4; 50 missing

In Indonesia, four persons were killed and 50 others reported missing after a strong quake on Monday triggered tsunami in remote district of West Sumatra. West Sumatra Disaster and Mitigation Management Agency Ade Edward said the tsunami hit two islands – Pagaiselatan Mentawai and Pagaiutara Mentawai – last evening following the 7.2 magnitude quake. Indonesia's Meteorology and Geophysics Agency said that small tsunamis occurred five minutes after the main shock, it lifted the warning about a half an hour after the main shock. The quake epicenter was located at 78 km southwest of Pagaiselatan Mentawai and with the depth at 10 km under sea bed, the agency said. Search is on for the missing persons.
