US President, Donald Trump has insisted that he is not under investigation on alleged Russian meddling in US election and possible collusion between his campaign officials and Moscow. <br/><br/>In a television interview with NBC, he said the then FBI chief, James Comey informed him thrice that he was not under investigation. <br/><br/>On the sacking of Comey, Trump said he would have taken the action even without a recommendation to do so by the two top Justice Department officials. <br/><br/>Trump is facing Democratic accusations that he fired Comey on Tuesday to hinder the FBI investigation into alleged meddling by Russia in the Presidential election.
