In Uttar Pradesh, 8 people including 7 children were killed and more than 30 injured in a road accident in Sonbhadra district on Monday. Sonbhadra SP, Pritindar Singh told AIR Allahabad correspondent that the incident occurred when a truck carrying local labourers and their families overturned between Hathinala-Dala Raod under Chopan Police station area. 18 seriously injured persons have been admitted to Robertsganj and Chopan district hospitals.
