In Andhra Pradesh, the Telangana Rastra Samithi and its lone electoral ally the BJP have swept the bye-elections held for 12 assembly constituencies in Telangana region. The counting of votes was complete by early hours today in five segments where ballot paper was used. After declaration of final results, the TRS won 11 seats by huge margins while the BJP retained one seat. PCC president D Srinivas and several former Ministers have been defeated by huge margins. While the Telugh Desam Party lost deposit in all the 12 seats, the congress candidates lost it in four segments.
