TRS President ends fast

In Andhra Pradesh, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President K. Chandrasekhar Rao ended his indefinite fast in Khammam last evening amidst dramatic circumstances. He has been on fast in the Jail after his detention before launching fast-unto-death demanding separate Telengana state. Chandrasekhara Rao accepted a glass of juice in the Khammam Civil Hospital where he was taken from the sub-jail on the recommendation of a team of doctors arrived from Hyderabad. On ending of fast, Chandrasekhara Rao’s nephew and party MLA, T. Harish Rao, claimed that KCR was forcibly administered saline after which he called off his protest.<br/><br/>Following angry reactions over abrupt ending of his fast came from staunch supporters of Telengana, Chandrasekhara Rao told media, from his hospital bed, the TRS would chalk out its future strategy on securing statehood for Telgangana. He appealed the students not to resort violence, as it was not the party’s philosophy. With the TRS activists took to the streets damaging vehicles and private property during yesterday’s Telengana Bandh violent incidents reported from some places in the state.<br/>
