The trouble started soon after the Speaker rejected to take up adjournment motion notice given by TRS and BJP to take up a resolution for Statehood for Telengana. Speaker also rejected to take up for discussion, three more adjournment motions on different issues. The House witnessed slogan shouting by TRS MLAs and counter slogans by Congress MLAs in favour of a united State.

The Congress on Monday said that the party is in favour of separate Telangana state if all parties agree on the issue. Talking to reporters outside the Parliament, party spokesman Manish Tewari said that a consensus on the issue is necessary for any progress in this direction. Talking about the debate on Liberhan commission’s report, Mr Tewari said that the party will clear its stand on the issue during the debate.
