Troops of BSF and Border Guards Bangladesh, BGB, today carried out a joint vigilance exercise, named Maitri, in the Sunderbans delta reason. Both the Border Forces jointly carried out briefing of troops at T – Junction riverine area of the Sunderbans, conducted joint checking of Cargo ships and did joint petrol against trans-border crimes and smuggling. Sandeep Salunke IG BSF said that decision to hold this Joint Operation and training Exercise was taken in Director General Level talks which were held at Dhaka from 25th to 30th December in 2014 and this forms part of confidence building measure.
