In Tripura, stage is set for the 60 member Assembly poll to be held on Thursday. Official sources said that necessary arrangement has been made to conduct free and fair poll in all the eight districts of the state.

AIR Correspondent reports, all preparations have been put in place for smooth polling in Tripura on Thursday.

All polling officials have already gone to their respective polling station in the state.

The Polling booths have been put under the tight security cover of the Central paramilitary Forces and police personnel. Security has also been tightened all around the state.

The State has a total voter of 23 lakh 55 thousand out of which the male voters are11 lakh 98 thousand while the female voters are 11 lakh 56 thousand.

This Is the first time that 4 Polling booths will have all Women polling staffs.

Meanwhile while speaking with AIR, IG BSF Tripura Frontier Dr .S K Sarma has informed that additional manpower has been deployed in the International Border.

He also said that the BSF has also requested there Bangladeshi Counterpart Border Guard Bangladesh,BGB to enhance patrolling on their side.
