Tripura government has declared Corona Curfew in Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) area from Monday. The curfew will come into force from 5 am tomorrow till 5 am of 26th May. Alongside, six more urban areas across the state have also been declared as containment zones.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''The state cabinet after consultation with the expert groups dealing with&nbsp;COVID-19 pandemic has taken up this decision to contain the transmission of the Coronavirus. Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said this today in a press briefing. He further said that the Government will provide food packets of rice, dal and potato for the poor people including BPL and AAY cardholders during this period.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Mr Nath said, the state government has also declared few other urban areas as containment zones. These areas include Udaipur Municipal Council, Kailashahar Municipal Council, Bishalgarh Municipal Council, Panisagar Nagar Panchayat, Amarpur Nagar Panchayat, Ranirbazar Nagar Panchayat areas and Nagicherra and BSF Para.<br />''<br />''As per the order issued from the West Tripura district administration, people living in the Agartala municipal area will not be allowed to come out of their homes except emergency issues during the Curfew. All non-essential services offices shall be continued by the skeleton staff. All essential services will remain exempted from the curfew.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Places of worship, educational institutions, public parks, theatres, community halls, restaurants, shopping complexes will also be closed. However, standalone shops of essential goods will remain open. Social and political gatherings have also been ordered prohibited during the period.</span><br />
