Tripura government today announced a magisterial inquiry into the clash between BSF and villagers at South Ramnagar near Agartala in which two persons, including a BSF jawan, were killed and ten injured on Friday night. District Magistrate of West Tripura district, Abhishek Singh, who visited the scene today, said he is conducting the inquiry and stern action would be taken if any body is found guilty.

BSF DIG B S Rawat said, villagers attacked the BSF personnel when they were chasing smugglers during a routine patrol on Friday night prompting them to open fire in self-defence at South Ramnagar, located two km from Agartala.
