Tripura: Dr. Manik Saha gets elected as leader of the legislature party

<span style="color: #222222;">In Tripura, suspense on who will be the new Chief Minister was put to rest after Dr. Manik Saha was elected the leader of the legislature party this evening. Dr Saha whose name was proposed by senior BJP leader and newly elected MLA from Dhanpur legislative assembly seat, Pratima Bhowmik was unanimously elected the leader of the legislature party in a short meeting held at the party office in Agartala, this evening.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' Later, Dr. Saha along with State party Chief Rajib Bhattacharjee and senior party leader Sambit Patra called on the Governor Satyadeo Narayan Arya at Raj Bhavan and staked a claim to form the next government.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' Dr. Saha will be taking oath as the Chief Minister of Tripura for the second consecutive time. In his earlier term, Dr. Saha was at the helm of affairs for a period of six months after then Chief Minister, Biplab Kumar Deb was removed from the post.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' In the recently concluded assembly election, the BJP- IPFT alliance have won 33 seats out of the total 60 seats in the Tripura Legislative Assembly, thereby retaining the power in this north eastern state.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />''The swearing-in ceremony of the new Chief Minister and Council of Ministers will be held on 8th of this month and will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP chief J. P. Nadda, besides, several other Central Ministers and leaders as well as chief ministers from the north eastern States.</span><br />
