For the last few years, Tripura has earned an identity with her relentless fight and conquer against decades-long menace of militancy. The state has, in turn, has accorded a grand reception to Olympian Gymnast Dipa Karmakar on her home coming on Monday. From Tripura, she is the first sports person participated in Olympics games. AIR correspondent reports, on coming home of the Olympian, right from Agartala airport to the Vivekananda Stadium in the city, thousands of people, sports lovers, her fans have accorded salute to Dipa Karmakar. Dipa Karmakar brought laurel for the country and has brought fame to her state Tripura. Dipa missed the bronze medal in the vault final at Rio Olympics, but won the millions hearts of Tripura and the country as well because she has been the first woman gymnast in the country who had been *9+6elevated to Olympics final.
