Deputy Election Commissioner Sudhir Tripathi during his two-day visit to Nagaland held meeting with representatives of political parties on the summary revisions of electoral rolls. Tripathi sought active cooperation from the parties for preparing a correct voters list by the state election department. He told newsmen last night that the political parties also suggested some measures so that multiple entries, bogus voters do not find place in the electoral rolls. The term of the present Nagaland Assembly expires on 26th March 2013. The Deputy Election Commissioner had also detailed discussion with officials of the State Election Department and asked them to pay special attention so that all young eligible voters get enrolled. He said till date 84 per cent coverage of electronic photo rolls had been done. Assembly elections in Nagaland, Tripura and Meghalaya are due in March 2013.
