Tripartite talks on Gorkhaland issue fail

Tripartite talks on Gorkhaland issue failed to reach an agreement with the Centre saying political consensus needed to be created on the demand by GJM. Talking to reporters in Darjeeling Union Home Secretary G K Pillai said, there is no political consensus on formation of Gorkhaland. He said, discussion has not been given up and that he is sure a decision will be taken to find a solution which is acceptable to all. Mr Pillai said, detailed discussion was held with the state government and Gorkha Janamukti Morcha, GJM on various aspects of formation of Gorkhaland and the issues involved. <br/>
