Pall of gloom has descended on Tiruchirapalli when news came in that eight Builders Association of India members from the city died in the Nepal plane crash on Sunday. Tamil Nadu Minister for Animal Husbandry and dairy development N R Sivapathi met the bereaved families and assured of all help to bring back the bodies to Tiruchi. Family members of the victims will be flown to Kathmandu to identify the dead. BAI members including its chairman M Manimaran after attending the All India General Council meeting of BAI in Delhi went on a pleasure trip to Nepal. The ill-fated plane crashed killing 19 persons including ten Indians. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Selvi Jayalalithaa, DMK chief Sh M Karunanidh, Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president K V Thankabalu have conveyed their condolences.
