A noted footballer-turned- politician gifted a football to the Speaker in the Lok Sabha today. Prasun Banerjee, who is a Trinamool Congress Lok Sabha member handed over the football to Speaker Sumitra Mahajan as soon as the House met for the day. He said it was a small memento to the Speaker from a former captain of the national football team. <br/><br/>Mr Banerjee's gesture is being seen as a celebration of the FIFA decision to hold the Under-17 FIFA football world cup in Kolkata on October 28 this year.
