In West Bengal, a Trinamool Congress member has been allegedly hacked to death at Bhagawanpur in Bhangar area of South 24 Parganas district. The police said 50-year-old Amjad Ali was attacked with sharp weapons by five-six persons when he was returning home from his party office last evening. Ali died on way to the hospital. The Union minister of state for shipping Mukul Roy, Zilla Sabhapati Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay and local MLA Aramul Islam visited the spot and Ali's residence to offer condolence to his family members.
